Letters, 1902-1925.

The collection comprises 10 letters written by the painter Armand Guillaumin during the last twenty-five years of his life. His correspondents include Louis Vauxcelles, Camille Lefèvre, Georges Lecomte, Eugène Alluaud, Gustave Coquiot, and Mr. Benoit. There is a thank you note to Louis Vauxcelles for a clipping (1902 March 12). In a letter to the sculptor Camille Lefevre the artist complains that he cannnot work. He is returning to Paris, and all his paintings have already gone to his dealers Blot, Bonnard, and most to Druet [who is organizing Guillaumins' exhibition at his gallery] (1907 Nov. 11). He writes to Georges Lecomte about the frequent changes in weather which hinder his work at Le Trayas (1913 March 23).
